We all face moments when life shifts unexpectedly, testing our strength in ways we never imagined. Some challenges shake us, some redefine us, and some, like a #BrainAneurysm demand that we rewrite our life script entirely.
When I was told I wouldn’t survive, then my memory was lost for good, followed by my career and dreams were all over, I had every reason to give in. But #resilience isn’t about avoiding the storm, it’s about learning to accept it, to stand in it, to adapt whilst going through it, and then being determined to emerge stronger.
#Resilience is not a trait; it’s a choice. A choice to face adversity full on and with intention. A choice to take responsibility for our recovery, our mindset, and our next steps. A choice to recognize that even in crisis, we can still create, build, and thrive...if you choose.
So how do we navigate through crisis and win?
• Acknowledge the reality but refuse to be defined by it.
• Reframe challenges as opportunities for growth and reinvention.
• Surround yourself with people, habits, and thoughts that fuel your recovery.
#Resilience is not about bouncing back, it’s about rising forward. It’s about making the crisis work for you, not against you. Once I accepted that I had had a Brain Aneurysm and everything that came with it...I could see the blessing that I could get out of it. Its this blessing that I chose to seek and find, that has resulted in blogging, speaking, coaching and so much more.
Be bold and say out loud:
#IChoose to be greater than my struggle.
#IChoose to rewrite the narrative of my life.
#IChoose to rise, rebuild, and thrive.
